Evolution of the composition of the Board of Directors Caroline Laurent joins
the Board of Directors of Safran

Paris, February 7, 2019

At its meeting of February 7, 2019, the Board of Directors decided to coopt
Caroline LAURENT as a Director. She joins the Board of Directors from that
date.

This cooptation, proposed by the French State, intervenes on the Director
position held by Patrick GANDIL up to this date; the latter having resigned to
allow this cooptation(1).

The ratification of her cooptation will be submitted to the 2019 Shareholders'
Meeting.

Following this cooptation, the percentage of women within the Board of
Directors stands at 42.8%(2).

Caroline LAURENT has been Head of Strategy at the French Directorate General of
Weapons Procurement (DGA) since December 1st, 2014.

In 1987, she started her career at the DGA Space and Missiles Directorate where
she was manager of research projects for satellites, oceanographic and
reconnaissance missions.

From 1994 to 1995 she was responsible of the space research for the Ministry of
industry and was a key member of the committee in charge of the French space
policy.

In 2001, she was appointed as manager of the military telecommunications
Syracuse Program and was at the head of all French military satellite
communications related programs.

From 2007 to 2011, she served as Head of the Aeronautical Programs. Her Unit
was in charge of military transport aircraft, mission aircraft and in service
fighter aircraft. She was the French representative to the A 400M program
international committee.

From 2011 to 2014, she served as Head of the Space and Information Systems, Her
Unit composed of 450 persons invested in the management of armament operation,
studies and projects related to communication systems, information and
intelligence systems including space sensors up to the treatment of all
information data and the command and controls systems.

(1) In accordance with article 6 of ordonnance n°2014-948 dated August 20,
    2014 which sets out the terms and conditions for French State
    representation on the board of Directors of companies in which it holds
    an ownership interest, upon the proposal of the French State, Patrick
    GANDIL has been appointed Director by the Shareholders' Meeting dated
    April 23, 2015 for a four-year term expiring at the close of the 2019
    annual general meeting to be held to approve the financial statements for
    the year ending December 31, 2018.

    Directors are not taken into account in calculating this percentage the
    directors representing, in accordance with the law, and as the new
    Representative of the French State on the Board of Directors has not yet
    been appointed by ministerial decree (please refer to press release dated
    November 27, 2018).

On December 2014, she was appointed as Head of Strategy at the French DGA and
graduated Lieutenant General from the Armament Corps. She is in charge of
preparing all future armament programs and of the management of the French
defense industrial policy. She is the representative of the DGA in European and
multilateral programs, forums and authorities (NATO, European Commission, EDA).

She is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique (1982) and Ecole Nationale Supérieure
de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (1987) and a former auditor of the Centre des
Hautes Etudes de l'Armement" (Center for Advanced Defense Studies, 2004-2005).
